The European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) has been created to promote for the public benefit research, education and clinical practice in endocrinology by the organisation of conferences, training courses and publications, by raising public awareness, liaison with national and international legislators, and by any other appropriate means.
The ENEA was founded in the early 1980's to promote, assist and integrate neuroendocrinology in all its aspects, both basic and clinical, throughout the European continent. It organises biennial meetings in a European centre to discuss and explore the latest research and concepts in current neuroendocrinology, and also to educate and enthuse endocrinologists in training.
ESPE was founded in 1962, when the first annual scientific meeting was held in Zurich under the Presidency of Andrea Prader. The primary aim of ESPE is to promote knowledge of paediatric endocrinology in the widest sense. Three fundamental aspects of the field, namely clinical care, education and research are actively supported to achieve this aim.
